Ingredients of Bangalore Empire Restaurant Style Fried Chicken Kebabs:

  • 1/2 kg chicken, with bones
  • 2 tbsp maida/ all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch/cornflour
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 eggs
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp red food colour, optional
  • to taste Salt
  • Oil for deep frying

Method for "Bangalore Empire Restaurant Style Fried Chicken Kebabs":

  1. In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients. Add little water if the batter is too thick. Marinate the chicken pieces with the spice batter and mix to coat well. Leave it for 3-4 hours or overnight.
  2. Heat oil in a deep bottomed vessel. Once the oil is heated, add the chicken pieces, making sure not to overcrowd them. Fry for 3-4 mins turning the pieces occasionally. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with a few lime wedges & onions rings.
